MOUNTAIN LION

NEVADA’S BIG CAT

a winter time adventure

Mountain lion hunts are typically done during the winter months from November through March, although hunting opportunities for lions occur year-round. Here at Nevada Hunting Services we love lion hunting almost as much as we love bear hunting. With liberal seasons, and Nevada’s only over-the-counter tag, mountain lions offer a wonderful opportunity to hunt in Nevada each year. Similar to bear hunts, these can be very physically demanding pursuits, oftentimes in sub-freezing temperatures and inclement weather.

While most of Clients’ cats meet the Nevada Wildlife Record Book minimum 13 8/16”, we’ve helped our Clients take several large toms over 14”, including a couple that make the Boone and Crockett All Time of 15-inches.
